Michelle Milano Review of The Breezes Resort & Spa
Nope, never again!
Nope, never again!
I don't even know where to begin. I will say that the beach was the only redeemable thing at this "resort". We recently stayed 3 nights at breezes bahamas and we were extremely disappointed. Overwhelmingly disappointed in the service, the entire staff would benefit from hospitality and service industry training. The majority acted miserable, ignored you and moved at a glacial pace. Good quality service was just not a priority at all.
Breezes advertises 5 restaurants when basically it's just 1 buffet, 1 specialty restaurant open per night and 1 outdoor grill area. The food was mass produced low quality cafeteria food at the buffet. It was never served warm, even when it just came out from the kitchen. There was always something not working or the supply was out.
We attempted to eat at the garden of eden which is one of their specialty restaurants. It should be named the garden of no eating. After waiting well over an hour to be seated ( they say there are no reservations but there was a reservation for 24 people who took up the entire outdoor eating area), we then waited 25 minutes for a drink. At that point I just went to the bar next door from the restaurant and got my own drinks. The wait continued, after waiting another hour for our food we received a salad and was told there would be an additional wait for our entree because " the chef is going to cook 24 meals before yours". 2 hour wait and we received bread and a salad. We did not receive our appetizers, entree or desert. We left the restaurant at this point because it was just ridiculous. It's pretty sad when someone would leave the restaurant to go to the buffet but that was what we were forced to do. Unless you got to the outdoor grill when it first opened at 1130am, you would be served food that was sitting out for hours in the hot sun. After a few hours they ran out of most of the items as well.
Get used to keeping your wet, sandy pool towel all day because by the afternoon they were out of towels and made no effort to replenish them. " the towels are in the laundry, there will be a wait" was the standard response.
The room was outdated which really wasnt the problem. The problem was the damp, mildew smell that permeated the room at all times. In addition the sheets had a strong chemical smell and the bed was hard.
The water sports were only open from 10am to 4pm.
Breezes needs to tear it all down and start new, there is no hope for this place .
