It was Fri, 01Sep and we wanted to have a nice dinner. We selected the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank, NJ b/c the menu looked good. My husband was looking forward to ordering the Seafood Pot Pie. We like visiting & dining in Red Bank even though we live about 30 min away. I made a reservation through Open Table for 8:30pm. My husband was wearing Khaki dress shorts and a black shirt. The hostess said she could not seat us b/c on Fri, Sat, & Sun men must wear suit jackets. Really? This place was empty. Out of about 50 open tables, only 5 tables had people dining. Are you really going to turn away good paying customers just b/c my husband was not wearing a suite jacket? This is Red Bank, NJ. Seriously? The hostess said we could sit at the bar as they had a full menu, so we sat at the bar. This menu did not have the Seafood Pot Pie so we asked our waiter if we could order it and he said no. We were so turned off by this unfriendly, vainglorious establishment that we left. My husband and I have eaten at 5-star establishments all over the world and this place by far is an embarrassment to society.
