Dizzy's is great if you want to go posh for your jazz. It's pricey, but it's an iconic spot in New York and the music is excellent. The food could have been better for the price, but it was still pretty good. The staff were excellent. What's holding Dizzy's back is the in-show-out revolving door mentality. You get in, get some food and a drink, see a brief show and then you have to leave for the next crowd to come in. With this format, it's hard to relax and enjoy the music. If you're on a posh date or a stylish group night out, and you like jazz, then this is the place. If great jazz is the priority, and classy surroundings are NOT a priority, then there are a dozen more fun and relaxing places to go in Manhattan.
