Warm welcome at reception most important thing first impressions last, there was a very nice man named Raymond at reception after midnight he helped me with an unusual request so a huge personal thank you to him. Hotel in itself is like a maze I love the layout, rooms are exquisite, beds are so comfortable & the place is absolutely spotless. However my experience this time round with the food service & bar service wasn't a very pleasant one hence the 3 stars. Food came out on our evening meal while it was presented very well the portions were fairly small, the steak was brought out without a steak knife or the chips thatvit comes with & by the time we got the chips the steak was gone, then in the bar later on we waited at least 15mins for a drink every time we went to the bar, while there was plenty of staff the mixers & ingredients for certain drinks weren't in the same area. I would highly recommend the bar staff looking into fixing up the bar area so all mixers & ingredients for cocktails & drinks are in the same place perhaps down where the cocktails are made & if possible having a designated cocktail maker would make things a lot easier, also other drinks should be kept in a different area so there is no waiting around for the customer. While at our visit to the Osprey we ran into lots of other guests & they too had the same complaints we had. I really like this hotel it is a great escape for a girly break or a getaway with your s/o. I think it would really benefit yourselves as a business if these problems where looked at & dealt with. I will look forward to staying here again & I hope these issues will be resolved..
