My wife and I took in the Wellington Zoo just to catch a glimpse of the local nocturnal wildlife such as the Kiwi and Platypus that aren't in any of the North American zoos. The enclosures for both are set to have the animals active during the day. While I couldn't make out the fine details I did get to see both on this visit. The zoo is also home to a large family of chimpanzees with a fantastic enclosure. The 'Zoo Keeper says...' signs were a fun way to highlight the do's and don'ts of the zoo.
