A very nice, well kept zoo. I liked viewing the lion family and elephants. Some of the animals are here because they are injured and cannot survive in the wild, like the bald eagle which was blind in one eye. The people are very friendly and polite. I noticed a lot of exhibits were closed, but that's because it's off season and they are remodeling. There weren't many food options open, do bring a snack or two. The lines for elephant ears are extremely long, and for what? A piece of bread with sugar. Parking is limited, but we walked from the gardens to get to the zoo. It was just a good day to get out of the house and walk around.
