OUT OF TOWN BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS FRANCHISE

OUT OF TOWN BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS FRANCHISE

My husband and I drove 3 hours one way to purchase a new GLB. The financial transaction went smooth. When I went to leave with the car there was white paint dots all over (looked like over-spray) so the salesperson tried to have them buffed out which left deep spiderweb looking swirl marks. I couldn't see the swirl marks because it was getting dark, so I went home.

A couple weeks later I took the car to Sarasota Mercedes (the store closest to me) and they gave me a quote for $700 to remove the over-spray and swirls!! Sarasota said it wasn't covered by warranty so I HAD TO CALL Pompano to request they send work order. Why couldn't Sarasota Mercedes call Pompano Mercedes since I was standing right there??!!

I made literally 12 calls over 2.5 months and left at least 10 voicemails to request for Pompano to send a work order to Sarasota Mercedes so they could fix the damage done by their detail guys. Three of those voicemails were to my Salesperson, Giancarlos, who never responded (he did text my husband who told him to call me but never did), one to the GM, and the rest were to different supposed Sales Managers. NOT A SINGLE RETURN PHONE CALL!

After much frustration I finally decided to call Mercedes Corporate. The representative from corporate sent one email and the next day Sarasota Mercedes called me to schedule a service appointment. I still never heard from anyone at Pompano. WHY COULDN'T POMPANO AND SARASOTA WORK TOGETHER TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE RATHER THAN WASTING MY TIME ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE???

I just wanted my car to have a showroom shine like I paid for - not look like it came from a buy-here-pay-here lot. Kia provides better service than what I received from these Mercedes dealers!! Unfortunately, I will probably never buy another Mercedes because of this.
