The staff are generally fantastic from the front desk to the entertainment staff. The number of staff who knew my name by the end of the week was impressive. The buffet is good, although didn't always have fantastic variety. The a la cartes are good, although they don't take reservations for small parties (didn't impact us l, but could probably prove annoying). The pool grill is not a buffet, so the food is fresh but may take a few minutes. The beach is A+ and it's quite easy to take a kayak or paddle board out for (free and included). There aren't many fish though, so no point snorkeling at the beach. They cater to Grad City and Grad Week events during Spring Break and May/June. If you find hordes of high schoolers and university students who are generally loud and obnoxious infuriating... that could really bother you. They're most pronounced when mustering in the main lobby/entertainment area to go out at night, and they can dominate the pool bar. If you're a beach person, they're easily avoidable and the pool area is large enough they didn't really impact us (apart from hollering when shots appeared) . I'd say 80% of adults took it with stride and amusement, but 20% got really annoyed by them. Knowing who you are, avoid the above months if necessary. The piano bar is 25+ as well, which helps with this. We also noticed bar staff would service us first when they saw our wrist bands over the grads. The nightly entertainment is good, and Frankie D puts on a good show every night with the band. Apart from the students, the only other negative is that any sounds in the hallways are heard just as well in the rooms. This means sleeping in can be hard when the maids get going, although they had guards for all floors to keep the kids in control at night. Another plus of the hotel layout, is that the higher floor interior rooms all have a decent view of the pool and beach. They also spread rose petals and put up a sign for our anniversary, which was appreciated. All in all we'd definitely go back, and if the price was right... would probably do the 2nd week of June again. We found the hordes of kids amusing enough to deal with the random noise and crowds.
