Briggs YMCA is one of the more modern. They have a great facility clean maintained facility.
There are two main concerns:
1-Every once in a while one of the younger staff can be rather mean (if this happens - DON'T take it. Even if you aren't the type to confront - call the director explain what happened, how it made you feel, the issue will be dealt with quickly!! They don't want this gappening. Please know not all of younger staff are like that.)
2-DO NOT bring your wallet in, even if you get a locker/lock. Be Smart!
Not everyone who goes - is on the up and up and lockers can be opened.
Don't leave clothes, shoes, gear etc., out on the benches or common areas. The Y isn't responsible if your stuff gets taken because you left it out. And yes, some people DO want your smelly old sneakers; others just get ticked if you leave your smelly stuff out when they go to use the area.
Be Smart, use communal space etiquette, you don't own the space even if you are going to the showers - take your stuff out when you get back. You don't want the person rushing to a class tripping over your stuff.
