Timothy Review of Millenium Hilton
Awful! Worst 5 star hotel ever!
Awful! Worst 5 star hotel ever!
Dirty rooms, old decor (not the stylish old one), unfriendly reception!
Luckily I only spent two nights here (25.08-27.08 room 821)
The reception was not as friendly and warm as usual in Thailand. The opposite was the case!
It was also my birthday on the arrival date, which nobody noticed (should be a matter of course with 5 stars and Hilton Honor membership).
The exchange rate was bad (34, .. baht per euro instead of 37, .. baht per euro which I got at other exchange offices)
The lady at the reception even wanted me to read the course myself at the end of the reception when I asked how the course at the Hilton is.
Only after being asked to see for herself what she has to do anyway if I want to change money, the opulent lady dragged herself to the table in order to tell me this absolutely bad rate.
Internet is chargeable for non Hilton Honor members (approx. 8 per night. We bought 7-day internet for mobile phones with unlimited data volume for 3 from 7-Eleven). How to get such prices is really questionable. It is unusual that the internet is charged at all in a 5 star hotel and, in my opinion, bold.
But now the highlight:
The room looked awful !!!
In contrast to the apparently modernized lobby, the floors of the rooms and the rooms themselves were in the 80 / 90s look and also incredibly dirty!
The bathtub had red stains (I didn't want to know what that was) the carpets were also extremely stained (huge stains). The toilet leaked.
The alleged river view was also only a lateral river view (2/3 of the view was a huge construction site of a Gochhaus right next door, which has taken every view).
So all in all a total letdown!
