So glad to be done dealing with Sunnyside Property Management. In person dealings at the office are always cordial. I'm sure you know, but they will take whatever they can from your security deposit for usual wear and tear since they don't care enough to actually maintain their units between tenets. After discussing my moving out of the unit early, as a new tenet was looking to move in early. I discussed the option of having prorated rent for the last month since I wouldn't be living in the unit for the full duration of a month. It was agreed from both parties the lasts month rent was to be prorated for a lesser amount, but when the last months bill came around it was for the full month's amount. If you are in a position where you are forced to work with Sunnyside, consider anything over 50% of your security deposit back as a "gift". That nasty tub liner/stopper that disgusted you when you moved in? You get to buy the next tenet a new one! They ask for no handiwork to be done on one's unit, then charge you for loose screws... When the storage unit for the apartments flooded it took a couple days for any response or action to be taken. All in all, yeah they'll put a roof over your head, but don't expect much past that.
