I was visiting from Japan because my family lives on Cape Cod, and came to Plimoth Plantation with some friends for a day trip. I had just heard from my cousin that our family descended from John Howland, the man who had fallen off the Mayflower but was rescued. So, I decided to ask one of the "Pilgrims" here if he knew him. It turns out it was John Howland himself. I know he's only an actor and not really my ancestor, but he really knew his stuff, so it felt like I was meeting the real person. It was an awesome experience, and I bought the children's book about John Howland as a souvenir for my daughter.
