I reserved a class for my girlfriend and I for her...

I reserved a class for my girlfriend and I for her Christmas present, and paid $185 for the both of us, more for the experience than for just the food. Unfortunately I somehow missed the date and showed up a week later than the actual class I had reserved - my fault. The employee mentioned a confirmation email that I should have gotten which I never did. I was able to show her on my phone where I had purchased the spots in the class, and asked about getting rescheduled. She said no, that only if I contacted them ahead of time. So I asked her and said So you get my $185 and I get nothing? She said yes, because they order the portions of food and pay the staff for the meal I was supposed to attend. While she was nice about it, there was no flexibility, no confirmation email sent to me, and nothing they were willing to do other than keep my money. To keep $185 of someone s money and just to tell them they are out of luck is not good customer service. The other reviews on here are legit. Regardless of me missing the class, they could have offered to do something - let me reschedule, or give half the money back, or something. I reserved a storage unit a week ago that I went in to occupy today, and they sent 3 emails in that week reminding me, thanking me, etc. In 3 weeks time from purchasing the class, I received nothing, but they sure kept my money. It s a moral issue. Legally they did nothing wrong. Morally they did nothing right.
