Graduate of the college in 93. Had guns pulled on me twice by neighborhood thugs. Once was walking along convent ave. The second time was the day before graduation; black teen thugs from the campus high school ambushed me behind the science building and tried to rob me..

That being said, the college is pretty tough being a commuter college and you are largely on your own. one of the worse teachers I had was a statistics prof who once quipped the most popular sport is watching people hang themselves; basically you were on your own in that class and tutoring was non existent.

The best professor I had at the college was the late Dr Sharon Cosloy, molecular geneticist, who became head of the Biology department before she passed. She had a passion to teach, and to see others succeed. The other was Prof. Robert Gruskin, a microbiologist, excellent teacher who took the time to explain, and illuminate.
