My father was admitted 10/8/2018 for dehydration. He is also experiencing stage 4 kidney failure. The nurse Carrie from the emergency room was pleasant and listened to our concerns. HOWEVER. Once we arrived to the seventh floor, treatment went downhill. The first nurse Magan* seemed to be in a rush to get off work. She continued to poke and antagonize my father. I mean. He is here for DEHYDRATION. That might be part of the reason no blood was flowing. I work for NOVANT in Charlotte and my goodness. This is no comparison. I wish I had gone with my first instinct and drove him the 3.5 hours back or even to Bolivia NC. The night shift nurse Sarah was more friendly. But the Nurse MANDY blew me off when I spoke to her about my father not feeling well and his concerns with them sticking him every hour and the blood flow not getting any better. They mentioned the blood in the lab clotted ?? The lab tech needs to put her phone down and get to work!!!!!!! I m no nurse, my degree is in Sociology. But if any client came to me and told me what they were uncomfortable with, I would be sure to LISTEN. Mandy must have a facial scheduled after work. Cause she sure as hell didn t give a damn about my father and what we trying to get across to her.
