Paradise on earth! I have to admit I was slightly hesitant as there were some funky reviews from the past, but what made me give it a try were that those reviews were from some few years back and there were some that mentioned there is new management. I was working in Colombo and wanted a nice quiet weekend away with a great beach at my toes. This was exactly what I was looking for! I was so sad that I could only stay for the weekend. It is a a very well designed and extremely clean place. Air conditioning didn t have that musty smell that you get a lot in the bigger hotels. View of the ocean from your room. And it s like the waves were crashing at my door. It was so peaceful and beautiful! The pool was very clean and not murky at all. The staff were all very friendly. And don t even get me started on the food which was marvellous. While I was there I had the spicy calamari which I would highly recommend. The breakfast bap was also super delicious. Tiny details made all the difference. The set up for the dinner table with flowers and candles etc. Your meals can be served on your balcony overlooking the sea or by the pool. The staff closed the blinds and turned on the air con before sunset, I think to prevent mosquitos from getting in (was a concern of mine since I am pregnant), and the small snack they brought up to my room before dinner time. I really loved this place and would love to come back!
