Great place. Good selection of only organic and Free From produce. Cafe is always busy but I ve not used it myself except to get refills of water for my
Dogs water bottle! Good toilets always clean. Good parking and overflow as it does get busy. Beside falkland estate woodland and great dog walks

Just been here today sept 2020 and even after the storm at the start of August The stream is clear in most parts and definitely a lot safer than 2 years ago. Let s hope it stays that way safer for children pets and people!! Well done to the workers who cleared it.

Review from 2018
HOWEVER be aware when walking your dog off lead, if they like water, DO NOT LET THEM run riot round the stream because without warning there are DANGEROUS piles of sticks and cut wood in the water my dog. I live local and my dog has grown up here and knows the water well but excitement of water and play she ran into a section a different way than normal and she was badly injured. Had to carry her out and go straight to the vet hospital in St Andrews and he got several stitches in her chest. This is meant to be a managed woodland but kids, storms, and off road runners have filled the once lovely clear stream with chopped branches and trees making it dangerous for dogs and indeed children too. I heard from people who witnessed me carrying my dog out that either their dog had also been injured in a similar way and indeed 2 couples said their children had been injured from the debris in the stream too. Just a word of caution for those venturing into the woods beside the pillars of Hercules - I haven t reduced the star rating as the woods are not their responsibility. It s a shame the falkland estate have allowed this to escalate over the last few years as it used to be immaculate and fantastic for free playing dogs puppies kids and adults even if all ages now I would be extremely wary round the stream. Also the stagnant water created by the debris becomes bacteria laiden - you can see it and algae filled as well - haven t seen any blue-green algae but I have seen the brownish green kind. Until this is cleared up I won t be returning it s too dangerous for a 18 month old sprocker to enjoy off lead safely yet this was one of the best places to go with your dog - I ve been going there for over 30 years!
