Would never recommend Hobart Welding school. They care very little about their students and it is a hard environment to get respect in. It is all about the money for them. Most, but not all, instructors are never around and always have to wait and wait for help. The office staff are rude, disrespectful and always pass the buck to someone elses voicemail bc no one wants to take responsibility for anything. Several housing options recommended by the school are deplorable and unsafe, no matter what the home owner tells you on the phone. Some hosing options are no more than a converted closet with holes in the walls, ceilings and doors. Instructors actually make fun of students for a variety of things and are singled out to be embarrassed and made fun of, making for a difficult and hostile learning environment. Instructors also partake in rumor-mongering about students. There is great difficulty calling Hobart office staff as it is constant voicemail walls and only a very long automated attendant to answer. Can never get through to a live person or live switchboard attendent to assist and only option is a huge voicemail wall. Instructors pick students to make fun of. They post a flyer of a student in the teachers lounge and put derogatory remarks on it about the student. It is a very disrespectful environment. True story. Save your money, apply elsewhere. Don't bother with this over priced and disrespectful school. There are many better other welding schools options than this one. Hobart is over priced and overly thought of as 'good quality.' Maybe it was in the past. It is not anymore and is a joke. All they care about now is money. And it shows.
