Our laboratory's micro-centrifuge finally quit working, so the time had come to find a replacement. We had opted to upgrade to a bench-top one to have some redundancy with the Beckman GPR we are currently using. At first we had checked with a large well-known distributor of laboratory supplies/equipment, but their customer service wasn't up to par and pricing on a new unit was very high. At that point we decided to look into refurbished equipment. The sales reps at GMI were excellent! They helped us explore all of our options for our new (used) equipment, were extremely informative, and had great communication. In the end, we ended up with a great centrifuge at less than a quarter of the cost of a new one and it shares accessories with our older Beckman unit. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. On a side note, I noticed that our gamma counter was also purchased at GMI and has been running strong for the past 11+ years. Thanks everyone at GMI!
