LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! It's everything. But...

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! It's everything. But it is certainly not the ONLY thing. In this circumstance, I felt like it was treated like the only thing that mattered. A conveniently located hotel should not be an excuse to skimp on other aspects. But this review is not intended to be a complaint or allow the minor setbacks to plague the overall quality of my stay at this establishment. I also am a firm believer that there is a positive side to every negative. I will say that the guest services was very helpful and informative with addressing any questions or concerns I had during my stay and customer service in my opinion is one of the MOST important things about a hotel or any business for that matter. Job well done there! However, I think there needs to be a better line of communication between Hotels.com and the hotel you're booking because I got charged $50 for incidentals and nothing was mentioned at first when I checked in. I get it. Incidental, if not used, goes back on your card but at least give me a heads up so I am not wondering why there's a larger than expected charge to my card. Another thing I'd like to highlight is the parking situation. I was unaware that I'd be parking in a garage around the block and having to pay for it on top of that. It was cheap but some sort of heads up would have been greatly appreciated. Finally, getting into the room. The room itself was clean and sterilized abiding by the guidelines of this pandemic that we are unfortunately fighting. I don't really have any complaints about the room itself. All in all, I would say this has been a decent hotel experience but just a lot of surprises thrown at me that were unexpected. Something I would like to see change is vending machines on every floor so I don t have to walk all the way down to the lobby to visit the gift shop just to get a bottle of water.
