Certain staff and restaurants were either not happy there or bad training.
To begin with staff: by the beach we brought our own chairs asked for only an umbrella the guy literally said ahh ideally that not what we want to do it s not convenient. I thought to myself I m sorry I didn t ask you if it was convenient I asked we just need an umbrella. so we had to ask another guy I we could get an umbrella and within 2 mins we had an umbrella we asked for. That s no problem we can deal with that.
2nd restaurants we went to the sushi place everything seemed ok until we got dessert. I forgot the name of it but it was ice cream with grilled peaches on the menu it stated bourbon ice cream we get vanilla. I ask the waiter about the ice cream. The response is I m sorry that s all we had why not give us a heads up?
3rd: the inside of the hotel it gives off a humid smell. Also not very clean either certain things on the counters were sticky, the door for our beach view was not clean so it was very difficult to slide open. The toilets would work every now and then and the sink was clogged up when I tried to wash my hands in the first time I came in. The lamps switch mechanism was weird you had to turn it slow otherwise it would turn off the lamp. If i got a manager on the phone I d gladly explain everything in detail. (Room 211 if they want to inspect it.)
Also I get it with covid all hotels don t have housekeeping coming up to the rooms everyday but geez have them clean the hallway. I can say that with certainty because I carried my chair to the room some sand stuck on the bottom fell on the hallway I pick up most of what I could and I was there still two more days and the sand mark was still there. Absolutely surprised by how they over look stuff. the entrance to the elevator by the pool had caulk that was falling off and just hanging there. Looked very tacky. For the amount of money I paid for 3 days that is uncalled for and a total waste of resources they have there. I was lucky I spent most of my day at the beach and not inside the hotel. I just give as detailed as I can because this is something that I would not want someone else to experience again. Please revamp your whole experience there. I get it it isn t 5 stars either but come on I ve stayed in places that charge less before where the place was clean and staff was way better and customer service was optimal. Otherwise the beach was beautiful water and weather were incredible. They allow you to bring a cooler to the beach which is the best part really and in all honesty I d recommend to do that drinks for a margarita were like $20 not including tip. I certainly don t go on vacation worry about money but the alcohol they place on there was so small I laughed at it. I just wish they actually put customers first.
