Deanna Younan Review of The Manhattan at Times Square ...
The Manhattan at Times Square was one of the worst...
The Manhattan at Times Square was one of the worst hotels I ve ever stayed at. Other than the prime location, there was nothing nice about this place. The photos online are extremely misleading as they are taken of the executive suites located on one of the floors.
The hallways appeared to be a scene from a horror movie as they were dark, old, dirty, and warn out. The walls and ceiling of the room had cracks and rips as well as; the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the towels had brown stains on them, the latch on the door was broken off and patched up from the outside, the carpets looked like they ve never been replaced, the furniture was outdated and unmatched, you could hear people from neighbouring rooms, there was constant noises coming through the vents (felt like we were next to the laundry room), curtains were old and dirty, everyone had access to every floor (felt super unsafe), the bathroom was very small, the faucet leaked and to top it off there was a sign on the door that said do not open the door if you do not know who it is.
We didn t want the cleaners to come in our room because we felt unsafe and didn t trust anyone. When we left our room for the day we would place the do not disturb sign on the door handle and kept the TV on so people would think we were in our room. Unfortunately I do not have any photos to share. This hotel was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend anyone staying at The Manhattan at Times Square.
