DISCRIMINATION AGAINST AFRICAN AMERICAN..This past...

DISCRIMINATION AGAINST AFRICAN AMERICAN..This past Saturday my Mother and Aunt decided to celebrate their 50th Birthday and Anniversary of 28 years at the Wit Hotel. The initial plan was to stay at the hotel and enjoy the roof top, however we were discriminated against because we were a party of 10 professional African American's well groomed. My mother had a two bedroom suite for two nights and my aunt had a room for one night. When we first arrived to check in guest service were accommodating and had good customer service. When it came time for us to go too the roof top we were told their only allowing people with reservation or on the guest list to attend, mind you we were there at 9:30. We ask about table service and was told that it will only seat four people with the min price of $600. I informed them that's too much and how much to get in, they stated $20 for men and $10 for women. We agreed to that price and was told to wait, later the manager of roof top came down and said we can't accommodate your group tonight. I asked why and he said he didn't have to explain and have the right to refuse entry and will only accommodate table reservation or the guest list. Mind you everyone was dress appropriately and over the age of 30. We stood there in shock and watched other's obtain entrance that were not African American and not on the guest list or have table reservation. My Mother and Aunt deiced to stay at the hotel because it was to late to check out however we did leave and attend another venue downtown. Please don't give this hotel service your money because they racial profile against a group of individual due to us being African American. There are plenty of other hotels to go too besides the Witt. Please don't stay here!
