Sporting some of the best views of downtown Chicago, this is a solid hotel for the price. Amenities are good. The desk and concierge staff are cordial.

Could be so much more. I've stayed here many times and they are consistently poor is other respects:

1) the breakfast at ItaliAsia is not great;

2) During check-in the staff doesn't check individual Gold memberships and subsequently treated 2 HI Members very differently. It was the joke of the week that one guy could just raise an eyebrow to get attention while the other had to kick and scream. It was a hoot. And if you're NOT a Gold member, well...

3) The CityScape bar does NOT want you there past 11pm. AND The CityScape bar does not want groups in excess of 6. Once or twice a year when we're here for our corporate meet, some of us would have a nightcap at the hotel. No more. Every time they've been rude, visibly annoyed and hit up the house lights 45 minutes before they close.

Sleep there. Enjoy the view. Leave.
