I've got mixed feelings about Manila Ocean Park, thus the 3-star rating.
The aquarium (Oceanarium) part of the park was fun. It's not necessarily "world-class" quality, but it's pretty decent. My family had fun looking at all the fish and other sea creatures. For the price, it was somewhat small, but not too bad. Definitely more of a vacation price, not a "visit every day" price, but that's expected for a place like this.
We didn't get a chance to see most of the attractions at the park, but in addition to the Oceanarium, we did go through the exhibit Trails to Antarctica. There's a nice education part right as you go in, but the penguin exhibit (what I was thinking would be my kids' favorite part) was extremely disappointing. They only had one small area with penguins and less than 10 penguins. They were the small type, too, not the big emperor penguins. They had some fake emperor penguin statues, though. When we went the slide was also shut down for some reason. The only part of Trails to Antarctica that we really liked was the Snow Village. It's basically shaved ice scattered around in a large walk-in freezer with some Christmas decorations thrown in for good measure. It wasn't much to look at, but for me and my kids who lived in some cold parts of the US for most of our lives, it was heaven. Where else in the Philippines can you watch your breath puff in front of you? I didn't even get that in Baguio!
We're hoping to go back to the park some day to check out the other attractions.
