Michael Thaddeus Doyle Review of Grossinger Autoplex

My God, what happened to this place? We bought our last Buick here when it was Grossinger's. They worked with us in every way possible over several days, the dealership was always busy the weeknights and weekend days we were there, and everyone was friendly and helpful.
Tonight, visiting for the first time under the Zeigler's ownership after the dealership bugged us repeatedly to come in and consider trading in (we were not looking for a new car, but they were persistent), we could not believe we were in the same place. Ignored at first by almost everybody--even though we were the only customers in there for the first 20 minutes, then they led us through a classic, bottom-feeding routine of trying to push us into a downpayment so they could make money off of our rebate.
Would not work with us at all, lied about rebate arrangements we could clearly see on their computer screen, lied about a car we wanted to test drive having a dead battery, all nine yards. And when it was clear they were trying to work us and we said we were leaving, the salesman suggested we ditch our car in a pond and take advantage of our gap coverage. Swear. To. God.
Read all the other recent 1-star reviews. This is not Grossinger's anymore, not by a long shot. Totally greedy and classless, and it comes right across if you used to be a Grossinger's customer. Don't waste your time. Go elsewhere.
