Providers beware! This has truly been one of the most disappointing prior authorization experiences I've had in all of my years working in mental health. They give themselves a full month to respond to prior authorization requests for patients who are in need of urgent intensive mental health treatment, knowing that many of these patients can't simply put off care for a month.

On top of this poor auth process, they don't have the courtesy to read and evaluate appeals thoroughly; they denied a second level appeal because they decided there was a flaw in one of several points we made as to why our patient needed this level of care, while conveniently ignoring every other point we made.
