We booked a Mayfair Suite for a night. Comprising a bedroom and a separate living area, the suite allowed us to welcome our friends while at the same time, keeping our belongings safe in the main bedroom area. Spanning 110 square meters, the suite is decorated in an elegant contemporary style. The interior design is so typical of 5-star hotels in early 2000s, I would say; modern during that era, a little dated for today but we liked it anyway. Room amenities were great and worked well. We had two TV sets so I could watch Fresh off the Boat in the living area and my cousin could have the other one in the main bedroom for himself.
The bed was so big; it could fit three persons actually. The marble bathroom was spacious, with a bathtub positioned next to big windows overlooking JW Marriott. The walk-in closet was quite big, equipped with a safe and an ironing board. With such amenities and large King-size bed, we could just stay in our room, especially with me not feeling well. However, we decided to go to a shopping mall nearby the premises since I had to buy some meds. The hotel provides one-way shuttle van for guests.
The reservation included access to the Club Lounge. Upon knowing that I was not feeling well, the staffs did their best to make me feel better. They served a cup of ginger tea instead of English breakfast to alleviate my sore throat. The lounge itself offered greater privacy and tranquility. Chessboard designed in traditional Balinese-style and a pool table could also be found in the lounge area.
The lagoon-style pool was amazing! Indeed I was not feeling well but I could not just miss the chance to enjoy the pool. The whirlpool and the sauna were under maintenance so we could not use it but we already had some fun in the pool. Three bale-bales in the pool area made a perfect spot to relax and unwind.
After checking out, the staffs from the Club Lounge helped us with our belongings. They even prepared two cups of ginger tea for us. We would like to thank Mr. Diki, Mr. Krisna, Ms. Dahlia, Ms. Andriyani, and Ms. Tiara for the hospitality. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We would love to come back again.
