As a resident of Manhattan and the Bronx, I have interacted with both Community Boards 1 and 5 on various occasions. While their commitment to serving the community is commendable, I have found the overall experience to be average. The efficiency and responsiveness of the staff sometimes fell short, leading to delays in addressing important issues. On the positive side, the boards have shown dedication to improving local infrastructure and organizing community events. However, there is room for improvement in terms of transparency and accessibility to the community. Overall, I appreciate the efforts put forth but hope to see better communication and more streamlined processes in the future.
