We hired Mukwonago Remodeling to do a major remodel to our house in 2015. Although it appears to look nice on the surface, there is a long list of things they screwed up in the process. False promises, out and out lies, poor management. We had some work preformed by high school kids new on the job. At one point we made them pull the kitchen and dining room floor up and totally redo it because the kid installed all the sub-floor plywood wrong side up. We had a major lack of supervision and failure to read blueprints.
We were told everyone working on our house were actual employees or Mukwonago remodeling (except the cement contractor). In reality, many people who worked on the house were sub contractors.
We have "can" lights in the ceiling but they are not flush to the surface all around. I later found out this is because the ceiling in the kitchen and the ceiling in the dining room are not the same height. The can lights are installed in this transition of height so the surface is not level so the lights have gaps in them.
Several major things, when it came time to install them, we found out they forgot to ordered them. We ordered Quartz counters and they told us they couldn't get them in our size so we had to use Granite. But watching home improvement shows we see larger counters made of quartz obtained in less then four weeks time. They cut a hole in the garage between the new addition and the garage for a door but failed to order the door. They had also forgot to order the other doors for the addition and had to scramble to get them. One door was a special order and took a week to get. It was in the bluebrints to make the bottom of one door flush with the floor, but the two floors were not the same height and now there is a two inch step to go over.
On the basement of the addition they were supposed to cut a door from the old to the new. They kept putting it off until the addition had been closed in and the sub-floor was installed. They grabbed two of our fans to vent the cement dust ruining both fans and they grabbed our vacuum and broke that too.
They didn't order a port-a-potty so the workers used our bathroom. We ended up purchasing a zipper door to keep the dust from the remodel from the rest of the house because they "forgot" to order that too.
We often had to tell sub contractors what to do as there was rarely a foreman here to oversee the job.
The cement floor in the East addition had to be removed and replaced as the first floor it was in such bad shape.
From what we were told later the company owner sold the business. So they might tell you they have been in business over 40 years but I don't think anyone working there has been there very long. During our remodel most of the help seemed to quit. we went through four foremen.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone except maybe for very small remodeling jobs.
