I had a fabulous time The Walker Hotel, primarily because of how excellent the staff is. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I have to give special commendation to Irvin, Keith and Danny, who went above and beyond. Our rooms weren t ready on time due to unforeseen circumstances, and the staff bent over backwards to make it up to us. And this is high praise is not limited to strictly hotel staff. The kitchen and wait staff were also amazing, from late night requests to all around excellent service. I can t give them enough credit for making my stay as enjoyable as possible. Regarding the hotel itself, the rooms are smaller than they look in the photos, but from what I hear they are par for the course for NYC, but if you re into cozy this is the spot for you. Other than that, the water pressure was AH-MAZING, and the beds while small (I was sharing, and it was a full size, where I m used to a king) they were very comfortable. I was in town for a bachelorette weekend, otherwise I would normally stay with Friends. But if I find myself in need for a hotel in NYC in the future, I ll definitely be checking the availability at The Walker.
