My wife and I, searched for a seafood restaurant while visiting VA Beach. Harpoon Larry's had great reviews. Nevertheless, our experience was very unsatisfactory. There oysters were nothing compared to the size of their advertisement. In fact, they were the smallest oysters I have ever seen served in a restaurant in all my years of eating oysters. After being disappointed with the oyster meal, we decided to give the reviews one more chance to prove us wrong. We ordered the evening special " GUMBO SOUP". I can only say Chef Ramsey, would have requested too throw the entire batch in the trash and fire the chef that prepared this " Horrible replica" of GUMBO. It was fishy, greasy and difficult to consume without gagging. Lastly, I know we were at an ocean-front restaurant, but the bathrooms we're much like the food "trashed". Please, help this restaurant and stop faking these (3.5-5.0) reviews. They are going to cause some serious medical issues on some poor out of town unexpected visitor like my wife and I. We spent the next two days tag- teaming the toilet. We believe the oysters were not as fresh as advertised.
