My customer got a loaner car from this dealership ...

My customer got a loaner car from this dealership and had debris hit the windshield and crack it. Upon returning it (with proof of insurance and proof of a claim filed), they required her to pay $1000 before the car in the shop was released. Even though I called and confirmed that it is a covered claim, they held her car for ransom in my mind. They explained that the claim needed to be paid (in 5 minutes = impossible!) or she had to pay the $1000. Lack of professionalism! I would have filed a stolen vehicle report. #intimidationtactics
