Called 911 because a gentleman texting hit my bike while I was at a red light. No response. Called 911 after 45 minutes they guaranteed a response. No response. Called police station, and they say they are to busy, and I have to come in. It was 1.1 mile from the accident. Officer S. Conley kept misinterpreting me and my witnesses. They did send a car to the accident 1/2 hour after I got to the police station. I was informed by Officer S. Conley to call back in 6-7 days to make sure the report was done before requesting it. We had pictures of the car who hit and ran. I had witnesses. As of 12 April no one has tried to arrest this felon. Why? I sent a note to Gov. Scott, the media, and the Chief of Police. I received a phone call from a lady who was very sick, and I could not understand her. She informed me she would call the next week. Never called. Then I got a call from an Officer that the report was done, but was being checked for wording, and spelling. This was over a week ago. Really???? The individual who is being charged as a felony hit and run has not been picked up yet. Why???? This just shows me the incompetence of the Daytona Beach Police Department. People get rid of them.
