I purchased two bags of spawn. When I received them I could tell that there was an issue with one. I contacted them and was told to put it into production and if there are issues let them know. Well there were indeed the expected issues with that one bag.

When I contacted girls and forest instead of taking responsibility for the fact that they sold me a four pound bag of spawn that couldn t colonize 4 ten pound bags of grain they tried to blame me. They said that since I tried to expand the spawn then I voided their warranty. Never mind that the spawn wasn t viable enough to colonize at a 10% spawn ratio and I am an experienced grower.

They said that if you want expandable spawn you have to specifically call and ask. Never mind that is not written anywhere on their website. The pohu that I purchased from them is doing extremely well but I would NEVER buy from them again after this experience. Horrible customer service and no ownership or responsibility. As a business owner myself I would never bash a vendor publicly unless I had given them multiple chances to make it right and unfortunately they did not
