Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince / Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security, His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Affairs, Lieutenant General / Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani - today opened the Saudi International Conference on Safety from Oil Fires "Saudi OFSC 2019 "and the accompanying exhibition at the Hotel: - (The Ritz-Carlton) in Riyadh, which is organized by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Commission for Industrial Security at the Ministry of Interior for two days, in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary General of the International Energy Forum, Dr. Sun Xiancheng,
And the Secretary General of the Supreme Commission for Industrial Security, Brigadier Muhammad bin Ali Al-Habdan - and a number of specialists in industrial safety.
The opening ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and then an introductory visual presentation on the conference topic.
In his speech, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security stated that the conference and the accompanying exhibition will review the role of public utilities in revitalizing the capacity of the oil, gas and petrochemical industries in the Kingdom and the Middle East region in preventing and safety from fire disasters and preparing and responding to them within the framework of Vision 2030.
He affirmed the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security's keenness to achieve the aspirations of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques by upgrading preventive safety measures and facing the dangers of oil and gas fires by developing technical, engineering and organizational policies, plans, and instructions necessary to protect oil and industrial facilities and provide safety reasons and prevent fires.
The general conference sessions are among the most important programs of "Saudi OPEC 2019", and are divided into three axes, the first session entitled: "Fire disasters in the oil, gas, petroleum, and chemicals industries: facts, figures and solutions," and the second "best practices and innovations in the field of prevention of oil and gas fires. And the third, Promoting a culture of fire safety in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry from the perspective of the international community, and 350 people are expected to participate in six specialized training programs to meet the training requirements of oil and gas companies, petrochemical industries and electricity treatment plants. The programs have been prepared to bridge the training gap In the field of fire safety, and put forward applicable practical solutions to raise the level of efficiency.
