As the foodie of our group, I was elected to select the restaurant for our 1 dinner in town. After some research, I chose Edison, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was comfortably casual, and the menu inventive and enticing, with creative options for both food and drink. We started by sharing 3 appetizers: the ceviche was cool and super fresh, the buffalo cauliflower was crave worthy, and the burrata was made special by the surprisingly bright chipoltle-lime sorbet. Each of us ordered seafood entrees. I would've preferred a side to my fish a bit more interesting than mashed potatoes (which, to be fair, I didn't have a problem finishing!) All dishes were prepared perfectly, and we found the portions to be quite substantial. On that note, I completely disagree with reviewers who have said the restaurant is pricey; on the contrary I found it to be a good value. Sadly, we were too full (and happy) to indulge in dessert. I hope for a reason to return to Tampa so I can again visit Edison.
