The "Mountain hardwear store" is officially known ...

The "Mountain hardwear store" is officially known as the Columbia employee store but people still refer it to the first. This store in general is a great place to browse through especially for anyone that are in the process of looking for outdoor clothing gear. This however doesn't mean that you should only focus on coming here if you need clothing gear. Their clothing in general are pretty stylish and can often be integrated into your daily lineup of what to wear. For those that are into the outdoors, this place is an absolute bargain since the the prices are usually 40-60% off, but is generally more in the 30-50%. Even so that is a steal unless you're one of those patagonia bandwagon poser which I really do not care to talk about. Mountain hardwear store has enough high end gear ranging from simple hiking shoes to jackets to tents for your occasional outdoor spur of the moment. It's a simple one stop shop with the exception of accessories of course like matches, spoons or stove...lol. There is one thing about this store that will keep most of the general at bay and that is the general invitation required for entry. Yes, this store requires you to present an invitation paper of some sort from mountain hardwear to gain access to the discount price. If you're one of those lucky few who gets an invitation from your employer or friends who receive them quarterly then you're in luck! Happy shopping and definitely keep out for their "EXTRA 30% OFF" event because the discount are steep! Example, a men rs stretch down usually retails for $300 which on average goes for around $200-250 at most store on any given moment. I purchased the jacket for $122.98 which made me go back just to come out with 2 jacket and 1 hoodie then I had originally intended base on my projected budget. It's also a good idea to an eye out for their websites because sales are here and there and yes the price goes down to $149.98. If you sign up for their email program which is free and I'm not trying to promote them! You get an extra 20% off on your birthday. I would stay away from sites like Amazon as there are just too many knock off to figure which is real or not! Especially if you are going to spend $$$, you might as well get it from the source. There are just too color option on Amazon that I suspect this feeling of knockoff in the back of my head since I know mountain hardwear rarely offers that many color options on their website alone. Shop smart, shop wise and get more bang out of your buck!
