IIT Kanpur is a world class institution and one of the seven old IITs which are considered the most elite engineering institutes of India.

The IIT campus is located in the Kalyanpur area which is nearly 11 km away from the centre of the city. The atmosphere of the campus is very clean. There are rickshaws available inside the campus. Staying there at hall 13 was a good experience.
