First of all, I can't really say this review is of...

First of all, I can't really say this review is of the whole company, because I have not worked with them. This review is more about one particular person, whose name is Jessie Haile. My daughter attends ECU in North Carolina and resides at Captains Quarters. Captains Quarters filed for bankruptcy/foreclosure and we were not notified until late June 2016. My daughters lease is up July 31st. We always paid our rent using their online portal. We had a small balance due for the final July rent payment. On June 30th, I accessed the portal and paid the balance. I received an email confirmation of my payment. I checked a few weeks later to make sure there were no additional charges because I had heard that Captains Quarters were added unnecessary charges to residents accounts. At that time, I was unable to access the online portal. I sent an email to Jessie Haile asking her why. She advised me that they are no longer taking online payments and that they were not taking them as of June 24th. I explained that I paid online on June 30th, and she said that there was no way I did. She basically called me a liar. I sent her several emails showing the receipt I received and my online banking information showing I paid them. She never returned my emails. Finally I called the company and no one there knew who she was. I left a message in someone else voicemail box and Jessie called me back. She kept insisting that I couldn't have paid online. She was very rude and kept telling me I need to proof. I said I already sent you proof and what else did she need. We finally agreed I would go get a letter from my bank. I told her I would have the letter by July 22nd. Well on the morning of July 22nd, she sent me an email asking me when the payment would be made. This was very upsetting to me because I already paid and told her I would provide more proof by the end of the day on July 22nd. She has been nothing but rude and still insists the portal was not available for online payment. I asked for her supervisors number and email and she tells me her supervisor is out on leave. She provided me with the same phone number I called before to talk to another supervisor, yet they don't even know who Jessie is, so how am I supposed to get to a supervisor on the phone. This story has not ended yet. I will be going to the bank today to pick up the letter to finally prove (again) that I made the payment. I'm sorry for any new residents that are trying to rent at Captains Quarters and have to deal with RAM Properties.
