Sabanci Central Mosque, which started to serve in 1998, has been established on a total area of 58,900 m2 and has an indoor area of 12,900 m2.
Sabanc Merkez Mosque has become a symbol of the city due to its location and the distance between the main arteries, railroads and roads connecting Adana to the surrounding cities and districts. The mosque is the largest mosque in the Balkans and the Middle East with the possibility of worshiping to 28,500 people.
The dome of Sabanc Mosque, which has a majestic structure on the edge of the Seyhan River, rests on eight elephant pillars. The height of the dome from the prayer stage is 54 meters. The four minarets adjacent to the main body are 99 meters high, and the two minarets at the last communion site are 75 meters high.
The mosque has 4 course rooms, 10 itikaf rooms, imam and muezzin rooms, chat rooms and fountains.
All of the calligraphy works of the mosque belong to Hattat Hussein Kutlu. The mosque tiles were built with the classical Iznik tile technique. The four panels on the Qiblah front are the largest mosque panels in the world in terms of size.
All the embroidery works of the mosque and the patterns of the tiles belong to Mimar Nakka M. Semih rte . The mihrab, pulpit, rostrum, crown doors and other doors were marble and were drawn in a style similar to the ones found in classical Ottoman mosques and were made by Nihat Kartal Usta.
The minarets of the mosque were made of concrete which was obtained by mixing white cement and the elephant color in the female color.
Interior and exterior lighting projects and internal sounding projects of the mosque were drawn by Philips. In these projects, the project was carried out using Philips' materials.
