I recently [10-22-2019] took a tour, that had been arranged by The Columbus Foundation, of the American Red Cross building at 995 E. Broad St.
It had been very interesting to see what happens inside of a building [that resembles the Jerry Hammond Center at 1111 E. Broad St. but is smaller] that I have passed many times but had never before visited.
Our tour group split into two sub-groups and briefly visited the several different labs that are located throughout that building [that had been built in 1965 for the American Red Cross]. Our two sub-groups then re-convened for a closing session that included a lot of "question-and-answer."
It is possible for the public to donate blood at 995 E. Broad St. [that building is located on a regularly-served COTA bus line] but there are also many other blood donation centers throughout central Ohio.
