Cask n Cleaver has been around since I was a kid. Only back then the nearest building may have been the radio station KSOM. To this day I still enjoy the restaurant. You can get an rxcellent meal for a decent price. You don t pay a premium for the name of the restaurant nor do you have to fight crowds. I enjoy getting a steak, a loaded baked potato, mushrooms , asparagus and of course the all you can eat salad bar. Normally I can split most of my meal as the serving proportions are a fair size. Having the all you can eat salad bar is an added bonus as that in itself can fill me up. The salad bar is not one of those fancy long salad bars. It is a decent size but it has everything in it that one wants when having a salad. I like the salad bar so much that when people ask me about the Cask I brag not about the excellent steaks but the salad bar.
The staff is very friendly. They have a nice size bar where you can have cocktails prior to dinner. The location may seem rather odd but remember the restaurant was open long before any of the neighboring houses were there. If you want a good meal or a good steak
at a restaurant that has not been commercialized then this is the place to go. Oh yeah , don t forget to try out the salad bar!
