On this particular day and time it was pretty uneventful. Throughout the years I've watched this zoo grow and have had and used season passes for all of my five children. This day I went with my four month old grandson and his dad my son. I took a picture of my son and his wife in the same spot that my picture was taken of him when he was four months old. Highlight of the day second to the elephant in the water swimming and diving. My grandson was awake and videoed for that experience. Got there at 10:00 a.m. Lots of structured school type group's were everywhere. Probably 60% no shows for exhibits. Timing I believe, and closures. Normally a wonderful experience for all. Fortunately, my grandson will not remember this visit but I will. It was priceless. Takeaways, don't go that early and check before going concerning exhibit closures.
