We purchased a 10.6 Highfield tender with a steering console from Brad at Suncoast Inflatables. We had his team install a Garmin GPS as well as running lights. In addition they also applied the name on it for us in Highfield blue letters. The unit was preped and delivered to us in a very timely manner as promised. For 11+ months we thoroughly enjoyed the tender logging almost 800 miles on it during that time. To our complete dismay we discovered that the weld on the console arm had failed. We found this very disheartening. With little hope we contacted Brad to see what could be done. We were currently in route south along the east coast heading for the Bahamas. Brad first cautioned us that this may not be covered by Highfield but asked us to send him pictures detailing the failure. After receiving the pictures Brad again cautioned us that it may not be covered but that he would contact Highfield USA to see what if anything could be done. Three days later Brad reached out to me inquiring details on our current location. We advised him that the next large city we would encounter would be Annapolis Maryland.
The next day he informed us that he and The Highfield representative had worked out a plan to have the local dealer in Annapolis work with us. Dave the service manager met us at a ramp close to out boat and pulled the boat out at 3:30 in the afternoon on Thursday. To our delight The Annapolis dealer had the console replaced and returned to us in the water on Monday. Just like new. In summary Brad went way out of his way to interface with Highfield on our behalf. Our next tender will certainly come from Suncoast Inflatables, and likely be a Highfield after our experience thus far.
