Per Se is a five star restaurant for sure. We were made to feel very welcome and particularly because we had got engaged earlier in the day. Small touches like a personal congratulations on our menu and comp champagne etc. Very nice and thank you.
Just two points to note for the management team - my partner and I have dined at every three star Michelin in Greater London and we noted that your wine pairing prices are extortionate. To have the entry level wines, cost as much as the menu is frankly bizarre . So this was a disappointment, and we had to opt for a bottle of wine instead, which detracted from the experience. The second point is the menu, as lovely and technical as it is, is too rich. Every dish had a creamy / buttery element. So by desert we both felt a little ill and not excited for dessert. The mini croissant and butter at course five was so random and probably pushed us over the edge..
Thank you to the team all the same.
