I attended an organised Christmas party in the old palace. The palace is beautiful, the access was dire. It was a rainy evening and there was no obvious signage where the taxi could drop us off at the door so we had to walk from the car park.

The toilet was a hike back up the stairs, again with no signage, or OUTSIDE if you were unable to use the stairs!
Although the food was tasty, it was small in amount and not served or presented with any flair at all, and the 'dessert' consisted of 3 tiny mini bites, smaller than a standard chocolate, not enough to satiate the smallest appetite.
The bar is very lightly stocked limiting you on choice of beverage.
The staff, on a whole, were sullen.
The evening was made by the company, the wow factor of the palace was great but was let down by everything else.
Not worth the price at all.
