I used to have a very high regard for Toyota and their customer service, but I do not think they are anymore the great old car company. My 2007 Toyota camry have got excessive oil consumption because of design flaws in the engine pistons rings. I called Toyota today and they said they do not take any responsibility, although they acknowledged it is a design flaw. It is such a shame that such a company does not take responsibility for their own mistakes. Please be careful buying Toyota and try to consider other car companies with better customer service (like Honda)
If you search the web, you would learn that excessive oil consumption is common in many Toyota models.
