Well, we just got back from Indian Wells. I nit pick at this hotel simply because of the amount I pay. We arrived there, and right away we took notice of the service, which was great. These guys will open the door for you and make you feel welcome. Our room was "clean" but a bit beat up. And this is where the problems began. 1. I accidentally pulled the sheets only to realize I was pulling the bottom sheet. There were some really nasty stains on the cushion. The TV had terrible reception. The shower door does not lock, and there isn't a way to prevent the water from leaking out. No food menu. Hallways were freezing. We had purchased the New Years Eve package and were told that this was a "casual" affair. When we arrived, everyone was dressed in Tuxedos and prom dresses... how is this "casual"? We purchased the package and hotel with FREE valet parking. But apparently it was only for THAT night. Something we found out when we checked out. We were charged for "resort" fees, but we didn't even use the pool. The price was different when we checked out, by 200 dollars. The girl behind the counter looked at our receipt and said "oops this is not your receipt (which was for 850)" I checked my bank account and there is a 850 pending, but not the actual price. She noticed the mistake and still charged us the incorrect amount. TV Movies were 14 dollars to rent. Breakfast buffet which was included in our package was 50 dollars... Really? I used to love the Hyatt, but now, I will avoid them at all costs. You don't need to charge for parking with those prices. Can't you charge for resort fees ONLY if people decide to use your resort amenities the same way you charge for room service or movies. Mini bar... come on, 4.00 for a can of soda? 4.75 for a small bottle of water? WTF?
