We choose Best Western hotels because of their pet...

We choose Best Western hotels because of their pet friendly policy and stayed in this same hotel last year. Because they can't seem to get with 21st century technology, we always call first and make sure a pet room is available, then tell the person on the phone we will make our reservation online so we get the best rate. This system, though awkward, has always worked in the past. But when we arrived March 17, 2016 (after driving 14 hours) we were told there was no dog friendly rooms. The man at the desk put us in a room but told us we would have to move the next day AND we might have to move every night of out 4 night stay. This does not make for a relaxing night sleep! My logic was, we are already in this room. With a dog. It is now a dog room. You have to perform the same "deep cleaning" if we stayed 1 night or 4. But, no, we had to move into a different room the next day. Room 147 had either fleas or bed bugs. My dog is on year round flea prevention so the fleas (or bed bugs) were in the room when we arrived.
First, I find it incredible that Best Western, with all their millions, can't hire a person to code their website so a guest can make reservations for a dog friendly room without jumping through hoops. Second, the "deep cleaning" we were told dog rooms get is simply a lie. We were actually lying by the pool when the maid cleaned the first room, the "non dog friendly" room, and it was not cleaned any differently than any other room. Third, I will definitely never stay at this Best Western again. At $150 a night?? I can be treated like crap for a lot less. And probably without being bitten by bugs -_-
